Animal Welfare Statement
How K9 SODA approaches welfare in selection, training and placement.
Selection
We select dogs that show genuine working aptitude and can develop in a working role without chronic stress. We do not place dogs in roles we believe they cannot handle.
Training
Training is built on clear handler engagement, reward-based foundations and structured progression. Pressure is used purposefully, not as a primary tool. We do not endorse training that compromises a dog's long-term stability.
Daily care
Kennel conditions, feeding, rest, exercise and veterinary care follow consistent routines. Welfare is reviewed continuously, not at fixed intervals only.
Placement
We qualify buyers before agreeing to a sale. If we believe a placement is unsafe for the dog or the buyer, we will decline it.
End of working life
Dogs we own are retired into a suitable home or kept in our care. We do not return working dogs to environments that would compromise welfare.
